The First Dance Song at Your Wedding Reception: Birmingham Wedding Venue List of The Top 50!

After your wedding comes the biggest party of your life; YOUR WEDDING RECEPTION! It is just for the two of you. Scores of your friends and relatives are waiting for the big moment: The First Dance!

For many couples, this is a BIG decision. They want something meaningful. They want the first dance to be memorable. They want it to be romantic! But how do you pick this song?

Many struggle. Should it be the first one they danced to as a couple? Should it remind them of some special day, a vacation, their first date, the first dance they had after they were engaged? Should it revolve around the theme of the wedding?

There are as many reasons on how to pick the first song as there are couples. I cannot pretend to advise you but I can give you some ideas on what other couples have picked.

The following list is a compilation of dozens of lists of the top “first dance song lists” from a number of different websites, locations around the country and a variety of very popular DJs. I added all of these lists together and counted the number of times a given song was listed. Then I rank ordered them.

The list is a rather extensive one. It contains the top 50 that I found. It also reminds me of some of the most common songs I have heard at scores of weddings over 40 years! Some are very old, some relatively new. But all of them hold a special place in the hearts of brides and grooms all over the US!

So, if you are unsure of how to pick one based on your time together as a couple, perhaps a glance at this list will give you some to think about! Remember that every time you hear this song for the rest of your life, you will think about each other and how much you were in love, and the strong emotions you were feeling at that special time in your life!
