How to Plan a Birmingham Funeral Luncheon

A funeral luncheon is a reception following a memorial service. Although this is a somber time, the luncheon is a time to celebrate the life of a loved one who has passed on. It is a time to share happy memories, funny stories and how much the loved one will be missed.

The funeral luncheon is a simple affair. There is no right or wrong way to host a funeral luncheon. It can be done with a minimum of preparation.

Woodrow Hall can assist the grieving family members with the preparation. Our Magnolia Room is almost always ready, easy to find, has plenty of parking and can seat up to 100 people. You can bring your own food into our venue for this luncheon or have a caterer provide the refreshments. We will provide you with space for the food, several chaffing dishes, coffee and iced and hot tea making machines, a buffet table for serving food and if you desire, dishes and flatware.

We also can provide sound system for light music and a microphone so loved ones can share their feelings and memories. If you wish we can also provide an LCD projector and screen or plasma screen TV for viewing photos of your loved one. Just bring a disk or computer to display the images.
