Birmingham Venue Offers Suggestions on Corporate Event Planning: Questions You Need To Ask

Corporate Events are complicated! Woodrow Hall, a Birmingham Venue, would like to help make things a bit less complicated by offering you a series of questions to ask yourself about the event. Once answered, you will have many of the decisions and planning done.

What are your objectives?
Who are the target people or groups you intend to invite?
What is your theme, color scheme, types of decorations, centerpieces, lighting?
Should it be a daytime or evening event?
What time should it start and end?
Should spouses be invited?
What is the proper dress for the event; informal, business casual, business, formal?
Should you have a DJ/band or other entertainment?
Should you hire an event planner?
What type of venue should you rent, size, type?
What type of food? snacks, dessert, hor d’ oeuvres, buffet, sit down?
What types of beverages should you offer?
Do you need tables and chairs or just stand up tables?
Should you have alcohol?
What is the budget?
What types of things/services/equipment do you need to rent?
What season should you hold your event?
Do you need handouts/sales material/other print material?
Do you need to set up a press release?
Do you need to have a professional speaker?
